The Rev. Andrew A. Dunks Called as Rector of St. Bartholomew's

April 23, 2012 - The Vestry and Search Committee of St. Bart’s are very pleased to announce that on June 15, 2012 The Reverend Andrew A. Dunks will begin his ministry as Rector of St. Bart’s.

Andy Dunks has been Chaplain and Chair of Theology at Christchurch School in Saluda, VA. Prior to that he was Chaplain and Chair of Theology at the Virginia Episcopal School in Lynchburg, VA. He was Vicar of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio, TX and Associate Rector at St. Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church in Corpus Christi, TX.

Rev. Dunks has a M.Div. from the Episcopal Theological Seminary of the Southwest in Austin, TX, an M.A. in Philosophy from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, IN and a B.A. in Philosophy, magna cum laude from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX. He is married to Julie and they have two college age children Caitlin and Evan. His hobbies are fencing, military history and local tourism. Julie is an architect with a firm in Williamsburg, VA.

We are very excited to welcome Andy and Julie to the St. Bart’s family and look forward to getting to know them.

Rev. Dunks will be the Celebrant at both the 8:30 and 10:30 services at St. Bart’s on May 6th. They will both be around to meet, talk and answer questions. There will be a reception after the 10:30 service to welcome them.
