Sisters and Brothers,

Kate, our family and I have been buoyed by and continue to covet your prayers. Post-operative recovery has been slow and not without some discouragement and sadness. I have recently turned a couple corners, am feeling stronger and more confident, and hope to be discharged soon.

In the meantime, I encourage you to stay the course. Y'all have done such faithful and difficult work to establish and further a vibrant future for our life together. Please don't let this in any way distract you.

Finally, thank you. I spend a lot of ink thanking you for all we have done and been through together. These past days have been a particularly difficult time, and yet, Kate, our family, and I are making it through because we are going through this "together" with you.
